9 Counties

Counties where we post bonds in person

5.0★

Google rating from 66 client reviews

15%

The state's maximum premium. We never add fees.

What we do

Any charge, any size, any hour.

24-hour bail bonds

Arrests peak after midnight. So does our phone. An agent answers and drives to the jail as soon as your paperwork clears.

Payment plans

Low down payments and installments on the premium for families who qualify. The price is the premium. Nothing added.

Domestic violence holds

A judge, not a magistrate, sets these bonds, which can take up to 48 hours. We prepare everything during the hold and post the moment it's set.

Felony and large bonds

Bonds of $50,000 and up, structured with a plan and, when the court requires, collateral we explain before you sign.

DWI bail bonds

The most common overnight arrest in our region. We know how each county handles the sobering hold and how quickly release follows.

Immigration bonds

Federal immigration bonds for people held by ICE. Different rules and paperwork, the same 24/7 team.

Transfer bonds

Arrested in another county or state? We arrange the bond here and have it posted where the jail is.

Warrant checks

Find out confidentially whether a warrant exists and arrange the bond before you turn yourself in.

How it works

From your first call to the jail's release door.

Five steps. The first four usually take less than an hour. The last one belongs to the jail, and we tell you honestly how long it runs.

Call or text
980-384-6630

Tell us the person's name and where they were arrested. If you don't know where they are, we find them.

We confirm the bond and explain the cost

We read the jail record, quote the premium, and set a down payment and plan before you sign anything.

Sign from anywhere

Paperwork is done on your phone or at either Charlotte office. The co-signer must be 25 or older with a valid ID, proof of current income and proof of current address.

Our agent posts
at the jail

In person, any hour. You get a call the moment the bond is accepted.

They walk out

Release processing belongs to the jail: two to eight hours in Mecklenburg because of its volume, about two to four in other counties. We stay on the release desk until they're out.

Champion (mainly Terry) was informative and helpful and responsive within literally minutes of my requests. He reached out to us during the process rather than waiting for our questions, and he made everything as simple as possible.

15% maximum

Set by North Carolina law. Same cap for every bondsman.

What it costs

The premium is the price.
Nothing added.

You pay a percentage of the bond, called the premium. It is not refunded when the case ends, but it is a fraction of the full cash bond the court would otherwise require. We split it into a down payment and installments for families who qualify.

Questions

What families ask us first.

Straight answers before you ever pick up the phone. Anything we haven’t covered, ask a licensed agent.

Still have a question?

How fast can you get someone out of jail in Charlotte?

Once the bond is posted at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center, release usually takes two to eight hours because of the volume the jail handles. Nights and weekends can run longer. Other counties are usually about two to four hours. We post as soon as your paperwork is complete, which is often within an hour of your first call.

No. Most clients sign electronically. If you prefer to meet, we have two Charlotte offices: 428 East 4th Street #301 in Uptown, beside the courthouse and jail, and 6047 Tyvola Glen Circle, Suite 214B on the south side.
Co-signers must be 25 or older and bring a valid ID, proof of current income and proof of current address, plus a way to pay the premium or down payment. Some larger bonds need collateral. We will tell you before you commit.
Up to 15 percent of the bond amount, the legal maximum in North Carolina. On a $5,000 bond that is at most $750. Champion offers down payments and installment plans on the premium for families who qualify.
Yes. Our nine core counties are Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Gaston, Iredell, Rowan, Catawba, Cleveland and Lincoln, but we can and do serve other counties. When we can’t be there in person, we can often arrange a transfer bond.
Yes. Immigration bonds are set by federal immigration authorities rather than a state court and follow different rules and paperwork. Call us with the person’s name and where they are being held and we will explain the steps.
No. The premium is the fee for the bond. If the court required full cash bail instead, that money would be returned at the end of the case, but most families cannot tie up that amount.
